Lauren H (she/her) is a DONA International trained Birth and Postpartum Doula, who provides in home and in hospital daytime support.

Lauren enjoys supporting people through transitional times in their lives. The postpartum period is a special time of healing and bonding, and Lauren is excited to work with families as they get to know their little ones more. Whether you're having your first child or adding to your family, parents often experience big emotions and changes during this time. Lauren listens empathetically and holds space for all the moments and feelings. She especially likes caring for parents by giving them some time to put themselves as a priority— even if that’s a simple as a getting some fresh air, taking some more time sleeping, or having a prepped meal.

Lauren has experience supporting people with a variety of identities, including LGBTQ+ families, un-partnered parents, couples, survivors, families with children, and parents who are having their first child. She takes the time to get to know you and your family, listens to your questions and concerns, and provides you with evidence-based information as you request it.

When she’s not doula-ing, you might find Lauren at Carolina North and Duke Forest with a golden retriever named Bing or browsing at the Carrboro Farmers Market on Saturdays.
